ART SHOW OPENING, TEX MEX BBQ & OLD TIME Music

SHOW OPENING, TEX MEX & OLD-TIME Music Sunday October 11, 12-5 pm

We are hosting a special event on Sunday, October 11 from noon to 5 pm. This is the opening reception for what i need is here a solo exhibition by artist and Lead Resident Samuel Harley. Installed in the tobacco barn on property, it showcases Sam's pure vision and skill as a potter with the heart of a poet.
OLD TIME MUSIC
We are also thrilled to present live music on the cottage porch by a string duo based in Western North Carolina Maddy Mullany & Clarke Willams. Their specialty is old-time fiddle music from the region, but they also incorporate bluegrass and country harmony singing into sets. Expect to hear some combination of fiddle, guitar and banjo.

TEX MEX BBQ: $14/$16 PLATE
And EATS!! We couldn't be more excited to have Casey Ruiz on-site offering TEX MEX BBQ. Casey does crazy cool and delicious things. Now he's dialing in flour tortillas and making the best BBQ around. He will be selling plates for $14 veg/$16 meat. Until it sells out...
Open Studios
Our studios will be open. See work in progress by Resident Artists Paloma Soto, Yoon Hwang & Marjorie Dial. The event is free and open to the public. BBQ charge per plate. It is an afternoon of celebrating community, place, & art. Please bring a water bottle and chair if you want to sit for the music.

Directions
We are 30 minutes north of Asheville at 310 Ras Grooms Road Marshall, NC 28753
*** Bear right at 310 sign and park in the upper field
*** Please drive slowly on Ras Grooms Road
*** Wear sturdy footwear as the farm has steep and uneven terrain
*** Bring a chair and refillable water bottle for listening to music
*** There will be food/drink for sale as long as it lasts (we suggest Old Marshall Jail for dinner/drinks).
