I grew up in East Tennessee and studied ceramics at the Appalachian Center for Crafts. I completed a semester of study at the Australia National University in 2007, before earning my B.F.A in ceramics in 2008. I moved to St Ives to work in the production studio at the Leach Pottery from 2009-2019. Now I continue to work independently in St Ives from the Gaolyard Studios. My work represents this blend of influences and life experiences. Most prominently, my American background and developmental years at the Leach pottery. But I have also been influenced by a short time working in Mashiko, Japan.
