Andrea Clark is an artist living in rural southeast Georgia. Clark constructs images with thin sheets of porcelain which are sheltered in stoneware frames and structures. Clark graduated with a BFA from the University of Kentucky in 2013. Her work was shown most recently at Marcia Wood Gallery in Atlanta. She is the recipient of a 2022 Career Advancement Fellowship from the Center for Craft.
“I see the porcelain paintings foremost as objects that allow me to explore the flip between 2D and 3D. Material engineering inspires new ways of image construction and subject matter. Lately I’m interested in conflating dream imagery with aspects of the Southern landscape where I was raised and currently live.”
